An adaptive-reuse project for an 1000-sf office suite within a large, vacant warehouse building. Many of the original finishes of the building were damaged beyond repair, but it was the goal of the client to retain as much of the original character of the building  as possible. O’Connor Architecture helped choose an appropriate location for the office suite within the building, developed a plan for demolishing what was beyond repair, and proposed new construction that could be built around the damaged material while leaving intact what had been successfully preserved. The result was an open-office space with clean work surfaces, where archival documents are hidden in storage around the perimeter of the rooms.
