50 Seneca Street is a 100-year-old former post office and mail sorting facility on the National Register of Historic places. O’Connor Architecture is providing master planning services with the broad goal to re-conceptualize the building inside and out as a one-of-a-kind multi-use space to support an array of local and regional events. Efforts are focused on creating an iconic event space interior and enlivening underutilized outdoor spaces, all while planning for necessary buildings systems and life safety upgrades throughout. With a goal of flexibility, the building will be designed to accommodate events at a range of scales and will be set up to support future retail in a revitalized downtown.
